Get hosts from IRC
 

Limewire could submit and get hosts from IRC. This would be good if for some reason nothing else worked. Maybe just the ultrapeer submit their IP and if people can't connect to any place to get IP's they could get them there. I think Gnucleus does this! It would help make Limewire more de-centralized. Thank you. Would it work?

If it can create the room on its own .
And post IP's to several big networks at once .
Like DALnet and EFnet .

Then the idea sounds good .
But it will also make some people suspicious .
Since they see their client connecting to a IRC server .
It would look like if they have a trojan in their system .

Then have an option under the connection or in options that you can check to allow irc connection. Also, there could be a pop up window after install explaining this and asking if the user wants to allow an irc connection.
