Is paying for Limewirepro worth it?

Would like your epinions if paying for limewirepro is worth it. They claim faster downloads which would be nice.

Make sure you get LW from the only official site: Lime Wire » Download LimeWire

It's been my experience that the difference between the Basic version and Pro is more subtle and not a drastic improvement. It connects to more sources which should mean better search results and faster d/loads, but unless you have a pretty fast connection you probably won't notice much difference in d/load speed. It'll help if your searching for rarer files, but popular files will be on both.

If your having connection problems, it's better to sort them out with the Basic version because buying Pro isn't going to make them go away.

I recently signed up for a music site that charged me for spyware that I don't need. I've spent the whole morning researching what all I was "charged for" and the whole site seems to be just a bunch of downloads I can get free elsewhere except for the spyware products. My searching led me here. While I was looking at the limewire site, a friend told me not to go there because I would end up with a virus and the site is run by hackers. Is there ANYWHERE a non-computer-geek can go to find out who is trustworthy and who isn't? I'm just praying now that THIS site isn't going to hurt my computer.

@ dreamwalker56,

You should try to get your money back.
