problem with "folders"

I'm basically computer ignorant-so please bear with me. In order to put my files into my itunes library I go to the lime wire library- hit explore-then highlight a file and select "open with" and select "itunes" -problem is I've ended up with so many files its difficult to go thru all of the files each time to locate the new ones that I've just downloaded to open them with itunes.soooo in my computer ignorance i created a new folder and moved a bunch of files to the new folder-in fact i did it TWICE-then itunes wouldn't play certain songs cause the original file couldn't be located-realizing i had really screwed up-i went back and "undid" the second one -but it won't let me undo the first "new folder" --any suggestions?? also in my infinite wisdom of trying to FIX my problem-my library has disapeared--hope this is not too long winded-but i've tried to explain it as easy to understand as possible-any help or suggestions are GREATLY appreciated
