What does the box with check mark in it mean?

Remoc January 27th, 2008 05:44 AM

It means that You have that File downloaded already. Check it out. Look at a File with a Check Mark, and see if you have it in your library. Thats to keep you from downloading it again. :D

If thats the box with a check mark in it that your talking about. Your question is a little vague.

This was half the question I was looking for, and hate to hijack a thread...
I want my LW to show me songs I have in my library, and give me that little check mark. But I cant seem to find it anywhere when I search.
I have searched for songs that I know I already have, to see if I can get that checkbox, and nothing...

LW 5 doesn't show the checkmark icon - shows a book icon instead;)

If you're using Classic view

If you're using List view
(check at the bottom of search results... this file showed at the bottom of my search results when in List view)

I have noticed that, but also noticing that it will only mark files that I have DL'ed since the install of v5...

The other 6000 songs in my collection seem to be ignored...

Sorry - guess I didn't read your OP properly:o

Songs downloaded with LW 4 don't show as previously downloaded for me. And whereas a search would once show a checkmark beside a file which you'd added for sharing & that someone else had downloaded (eg a file ripped & added to the shared folder), that doesn't show in LW 5 either.

Ask at this other forum, where the developers answer questions: LimeWire 5 - LimeWire Forums

They'll be able to give you a definitive answer:)
