Downloaded a song on LW that I cant deleteI

I'm trying to delete a song from from my LW library.When I move it to the recycling bin an error window pops up saying:

"The following files can not be deleted.They may be in use by another application or are currently being downloaded to".

Any advice or help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Can you tell that I have no idea what im doing? I appoligize for posting this in the wrong forum.

you have to shut down lime wire completely and open again to delete those songs

In my experience you cannot delete a file directly from the Limewire library.
You can, however, delete it from the Windows file whih you designated when you setup Limewire.

I did the same with fewer songs. If you copy songs from the LW 'saved' folder to the 'itunes music' folder, if you loose the LW files, when itunes asks you to find the original file it is in this folder. I do this automatically now to keep my LW clear.
