Error Installing 4.16.6
 

Hi all complete newbee to this forum.

I was running this version previously. My daughter called and said she could not open the file. I erased LW using the control panel, and tried to re-install.
On opening from the installation I received the attached message.
Being computer illterate I have no idea what I can do to fix this problem

Some times there net work gets a little screwy if it do's not work try this site.Download LimeWire Basic 4.16.6 - filehippo.com
They are free and they dont charge you for it.And i have check all of them for the bugs just use the green panle to the right.And dont go past 4.12.5 most likely they dont work any more with the network.

Broxibear40, The way you uninstalled LW might be a problem. Uninstall by Start > All Programs > Limewire > Uninstall.
NOT Add/Remove Programs.

Now click Start > Search > All Files/Folders. Type in limewire > Search. After search has finished, Delete anything and everything that has to do with Limewire.
While your at it uninstall Java and download the most updated version before ReInstalling Limewire. Only Download Limewire from here Lime Wire » Official Website & Free Download, BitTorrent «

Remove All Java versions installed (via Add/Remove Programs) before you install the latest Version. (Download the JRE Offline Installer)
