LImwWire Pro Hey there. I purchased LIme Pro quite sometime ago and have misplaced my registration code. I have recently had to reformat my harddrive and would like to use LImeWire Pro again. I have tried using some of my email addresses when I go to Support but they are not recognized. How do I go about getting LImeWire Pro registartion? Any assistance would be appreciated. TIA Xerxers:confused: |
The suscription is only good for 6 mnths and just recently been offered for a year. So if its been longer than 6 mnths your e-mail address won't be in the data base any longer. If you want the updates and "e-mail support" :cheesy: that they offer, then you will have to re-purchase. Lime Wire » Official Website & Free Download, BitTorrent « |
LimeWire Pro Remoc, thanks for quick response. However my understanding is that once you have purchased Pro that you get your six months of updates and service free but after that period you still retain Pro but are not eligible for the updates etc. So my query is that I have already paid for Pro and appreciate that I hhave gone well beyond my six months but would still like to use Pro. From the way the LimeWire site reads once the sic months has expired then I can continue to use LimeWir Pro. So somehow I should be able to obtain LimeWire Pro and I fully understand that I would not have access to either further updates or support. I think I am being reasonable in my request. Xerxers |
Yes you are correct. You can use it forever as long as you saved the Pro Installer. Did you back it up before your reformat. If not then the only way to get it back is to buy it again. |
Remoc, Thanks I do understand and I don't really begriudge paying it again......:yahoo: I didn't have a chance to back up too much!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bangh: I had upgraded my PC from XP to Vista Home Premium and during a routine update my system crashed and I couldn't recover it.......:lmao: Hence the reformat. I did back up some data files about 4 weeks ago so didn't lose too much stuff but I hav reverted back to XP as being more stable quicker and more reliable. Way Off Topic BUT!!!!!!! Just an aside, I have looked everywhere to find this but can't find the setting. When I scroll anywhere it is not smooth it so of goes a little at a time. Perchance do you know where the setting in XP is to controll scrolling? Thanks for any help with the latter. Xerxers |
Try going to Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Themes. My scrolling settings are under Mouse Pointers (left top collumn) but I have a 5 button Optical mouse with software installed, so I'm not sure this will be where you will find Your Scroll Settings. Hope this Helps :D |
Remoc, Once again thanks for response. I did a google and went to forum and what I hadn't yet done was downlaod the NIVIDIA drivers for my video card hence it was working in a sort of native mode. As soon as I downloaded and installed the correct video drivers then it worked just fine.:xirokrotima::xirokrotima: But hey do you know the great thing........... Is you come to a forum and people are prepared to help and I find that just really really terrific. You have been helpful honest and it has been great communicating with you.....:aweof: Once again thanks for all of your assistance today. Xerxers |
