Mac user can't disable uploads

hi everyone. i have really worked hard to find out how to disable uploads on limewire on my mac. i have used too much bandwidth for the month and need to slow things down. i have done all the things you are supposed to do but STILL there are three uploads going on in the 'connections' tab each time i open limewire. any macheads out there that can help? i don't mean to be a bad limewire user...as i said...just a temporary plug for now! thanks in advance :-)
