Anti-virus - How can I check files BEFORE downloading ? - BITZI is the answer !
 

Seems there should be a way to warn others of malicious download. Of the last 20 downloads, AVG found 15 of them infected with
trojans of one kind or another, and was unable to clean the infected file. Maybe this feature could be added to the next release of Limewire?

Bitzi Ticket or Check Bitzi or whatever...

What is Bitzi ?

To use Bitzi you normally right-click on a search result (or active download) and a menu will appear which includes the option(s) mentioned above.

In LimeWire the steps to use Bitzi are >

Right-click on file > Advanced > Lookup File With Bitzi. Left click on that and a new browser window will open which is Bitzi.

It is a wonderful system which has only one flaw...
It is dependent on US to 'feed' it with honest and accurate info.
