HELP how do i download a movie from limewire??

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!
i want to dowload a movie from limewire, but which type do i use (mpg, avi, mpeg, mp4)??
and why won't windows media player play any of them??
