very crappy pitfall that deleting files in limewire deletes them forever without at least sending them to the recycle bin for restoration... I tried a system restore with no luck... anybody?

Look at the Sticky threads above where you posted.

Another thing that might help is Google file recovery

And most importantly, don't download, install programs (apart from file recovery ones) etc. until you got the ones you can back
