Alright, I have a question.

A friend of my downloads stuff with limewire. They recently found a folder of stuff they didn't actually download on their computer.

Does this sort of thing actually happen? Can files be attached to others and then placed in a separate area of the computer without the owner knowing about it?

Yeah, they probably have a virus. Tell them to scan their computer.
