trying to update

I have LimeWire Pro and I am trying to update to a newer version.

My Email is not working, does not reconize my email.

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remoc June 14th, 2008 04:14 AM

The Pro suscription is only good for 6 mnths and just recently been offered for a year. So if its been longer than 6 mnths your e-mail address won't be in the data base any longer. If you want the updates and "e-mail support" that they offer, :cheesy: then you will have to re-purchase.

I have the same update / email problem. That is why I'm here, to find an answer. It tells me there is an update and then wants to charge me again. Good luck to us all.
Maybe buying Pro wasn't a good idea.
Ican't find a way to talk with or email anybody about it. When I go thru contacts and try to send a message I get a message saying there has been an error and the mail can't be sent. I bought it 0n 4/27.08, only 2 months ago.

If you bought Pro from the official site less than 6 months ago & are having update problems, then contact limenathan (click on link)

BUT ... be sure you were not a victim of a scam like this person: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...hat-music.html

OMG you obviously bought your supposed pro from a scam site. LW used to cost US $18.80 or so which was roughly €30-35. No wonder the 'official' site doesn't recognise you. Besides pro support was only for 6 months though they do now give an extended option of 12 months.

FrostWire is not the same as LW (though extremely similar), it only connects to 4 ultrapeers whereas LW pro connects to 5 & does not have a silly chat room where people are impolite as I found in my experience which 'is' why I dropped the FrostWire program.

Claims FW is LW Pro for free is a little silly. Were you Cootmaster aware that LW Pro actually has slightly different programming which helps to give it that extra edge, not 'just' connecting to another ultrapeer? Search SBerlin's previous posts on the forum if unsure. ;)

well its like pro for free i have read

Lord of the Rings November 28th, 2008 12:51 PM

erm .. here-say .. propaganda right? You read that 'at' the FrostWire forums, yes I saw it mentioned there too, by ignoramuses who are not even highly experienced Gnutella users let alone know anything about the 'technical' differences. I initially saw them mention that a long time ago, the propaganda has so much filtered into their brains they actually believe it without seriously doing the research. lol :D

FrostWire is 'based' on the LW Basic programming (3 U.P.'s) with an extra UP & a couple other things added. Does not make it equivalent to LW Pro.

Personal point of view: I've used both ... certainly no comparison from a personal point of view. I search 'rare' files, something FW seems to lack quite the same abilities of. Whilst I have my own disagreements against LW's approach, ... when comparing .. I would definitely choose Pro above FW because I know it delivers results.
