Help Please!! Can't Open Movies after Download is Complete
 

Hello, my first post, be gentle, I have pro, all of a sudden when I download movies they download ok, but will not open? I have windows XP pro, dsl, Karspersky security, also Windstream DSL, Can anyone help with this problem?

Well...This could be several different things. Need more Info.

What Media Player are you using???
Files could be Corrupt, Viruses, or Fakes.
Do you use Bitzi to check the status of the File before Download???
What Video File Extensions are you downloading???

i also have the same problem, im downloading .avi files, im using windows media player, plz help.

MV Scarface, all I did was clear out a lot of junk, delete limewire and reinstall and it working now

If they won't open, probably fake files.
Won't play?, fake file, corrupted file, or missing CODEC.
Plays without audio?, missing CODEC.

Read about using Bitzi to check out files before downloading. It will help to save you from downloading bogus, mis-named, or harmful files.

You can get CODECs at a number of sites. I use download.com (CNet) and got a free CODEC pack for WMP.
