HELP! Downloaded pro, but no go...
 

We downloaded (and paid for) Limewire Pro but when we installed the download, it still kept asking if we wanted to go pro. Went to the website to "login" and my email address is "invalid". I don't really know what is going on and would just like some help getting the program that I paid for. If anyone else has dealt with this before (and succeeded) PLEASE HELP!

Hmmm... A few Things come to mind. Where did you download LW from (what Site)??
How much did you Pay for Pro??
What does the receipt say??

was it limewire thats only real site

We went to the Limewire Pro website but it directed our purchase info through a place called Clickbank. It hasn't shown up on my credit card statement yet because we did it early Sunday morning. It was 49.95 for a "Lifetime Memebership". The email reciept is from that Clickbank place. I sure hope I didn't somehow end up with a spoof.

Unfortunaltely you have purchased from a scam site...The official limewire site does not use clickbank and doesn't charge for lifetime memberships, there are no such thing....

Many years ago I got sucked into a scam and emailed clickbank about it and they refunded my money straight away...I'd suggest you do the same...

well i use frost plus im frost support
Frost basically lime pro if it was free

then i guess u could
1 get lime pro again
2 lime free
3 frostwire since its pretty much same

id check that site w credit info check credit cards
and if all else fails go w lime free or frost
oh YES REPORT the prob to credit co

Thanks guys for all your help. I had a feeling that was the deal. It is showing up on my card now as an outstanding authorization so they are charging me. I've emailed Clickbank like one of you suggested requesting a refund for my bogus purchase so I guess we'll see what happens and now that I went to the site that you put up here for me I see the difference. I feel like an idiot, but I'm sure I'm not the only one been spoofed my those dorks. Hogwash they can get away with doing that, but at least I know where I need to go for the real thing now. I like the free edition of Limewire but not all the viruses that come with it so I'll probably still get the Pro - at least I know where to go to actually get it this time... LOL. Thanks again!

Like I said I got scammed at the start as well...but we live and learn...

Try the Basic version first, there really isn't that much difference between the two, if basic works for you well then consider the Pro version...

Also please be aware that Pro will not weed out the viruses for you, whilst Limewire has no viruses or spyware within the program you still need to be aware that the network is full of the things....
