Mick41,

In another thread you stated that it's been 6 to 9 months since you purchased Pro. I'm guessing your free updates period has run out. Did you purchase the 6 months offer($21.95US) or the 12 months($34.95US)???

If it's expired you'll need to purchase it again or d/l the Basic(free) version.

If you still have questions, send a PM to limenathan with your concerns.

previous purchase of limewire

About two years ago I purchases a "lifetime membership" to limewire for $25... I also have had hardrive problems and am trying to find this membership again... it does not show up on the "pro" was that a gimmick or is the "free" all I can get for the $25

Unfortunately you were scammed. There is no such thing as Lifetime membership for LW. That's what scam sites advertise. They make you think you are getting pro, then give you the free version. And two years ago LW Pro cost $18.88 for 6 months support. ;)

Part of the problem is LW.org do not advertise. But scam sites sponsor advertisements in google, etc. So when people search LW in search engines like Google, the ads show up at the very top & sides of the search results, people see them & are attracted to them.

More details here: Known Scam Sites (click on link). And also click on the 'So who is "really" holding responsibility over the Scam sites success?' link when you see it to get an idea of what I mean. :)

Thank you... I still enjoy limewire... but have learned my lesson... as a matter of fact.. I know several people who were "gotten" (they told me about limewire)... I guess I've learned my lesson to look a little closer...
Thanks Rob
