Video files, audio files? What players do you have? How large are the files you downloaded? :)

thanks

only audio files have been posted. i do not know what files ,besides java, shockwave, and adobe media player that i need to reinstall. i have no problems with any other music program so i wonder what the issue is. everything else is working perfectly. what can i do?:aweof:

The LW Media player is not always reliable anyway. Have you tried other players to see if the music plays on them?

You could try extracting an audio CD to your computer, put the files into a folder to share for LW. Then see if the LW Media player plays them or not. If yes, then it suggests the problem might be with your songs you downloaded.

There are some dud files out there, just hope you haven't downloaded any of those.

Are you trying to play them via playlists? If yes that might be the problem. With playlists, they point the player to where to find the song files. If any of the song files are missing, the playlist will not work in most cases (depending on player.)

the issue was that previously i could listen to the songs on my laptop without downloading. i do not seem to have the same option button and do not know how to get it. i just want to be able to play without necessarily downloading and when i installed i did not get the same set up that i previously had.

oh you mean Previewing. With that process, you can only preview as much as you have downloaded. eg: Downloaded 10% of song, so can only preview anywhere up to 10% of length of song.

Else, if you mean playing from your shared files, go to Library window, press on your shared folder or whichever ones you have with files inside. Select one, press Launch. Else you can send selected songs to the playlist via the Enqueue button. :)

Sorry if I am a little confused about your problem.
