blocked avi files

when downloading afilm on limewire pro iwait for some time only to find the damned film blocked and have to go to some flaming website to buy and download the right media player i thought and i must be thick but isnt limewire supposed to be open information sharing if anyone has any ideas especially how to stop these ripoff merchants i will be very apprecative thanks

these are bogus files spread by either hackers or spammers...simply do NOT follow any links (I block any and all media players from being able to access the net with my firewall) nor pay for any codecs/players (which are most likely trojans)
