Morpheus & Kazaa

Hey, is there any chance that the fight between Morpheus and Kazaa which took down both networks last week can continue now that the two have split?? IN other words, if a network can get brought down once, why couldn't somebody seed a network with new software that would bring it down again??

Fast Track purposely deactivated the Morpheus clients. They wrote the core protocol code so they had a bit of an advantage that wouldn't be afforded to others. Due to the wide variety of gnutella clients, I don't think the same strategy would work with gnutella. You'd have better luck writing a client that appeared to work correctly, had lots of really nice features, and flooded the network with a ton of unnecessary traffic. Since the people trying to do this for real haven't managed to accomplish either of the first two, I wouldn't worry about it.
