Empty Handed...loosing my time...

Lately ( in my music searches)I find that the Limewire network has shrunk a lot because lately in 2 of 3 searches I remain empty handed after having had a tremendous fight (several hours destroying my mouse for just one miserable song)with the network computers who will list the songs I want but they wont download them arguing that they are waiting for sources (if the song is listed how many sources do the computers need to be able to download it?).
Besides movies are nonexistent in this network because up to date when I search for them a lot of junk appears in the listings but no movie reference.So the video section is completely useless and the only videos you can download are porn ones.
So finally I really dont know why I'm losing my time on Limewire?.Dont you think you are losing yours?

LW is not a network; it's a client that uses the Gnutella network. Gnutella is very large and so it is the target of spammers and the RIAA.

The junk that appears in search results is either the junk that is on other users' computers, or spam that can be filtered or otherwiise avoided by using the Bitzi link. Some ISPs are limiting p-p traffic. If LW was working well previously, then that is likely the cause of some of your trouble.

I used LW for years, mainly for movies, and was quite happy with it. However, when I searched for older, obscure films, I had no luck. I began searching for torrents, which contained what I wanted, but LW is not very good at handling torrents. I've since switched to Azureus, which I now use exclusively.
