Cannot play CD

My downloads are saved as mp3 and when saved in windows media player. When I burn a a cd it won't play in my car. how can I change the file type to wav? thanx

Have a look in the Tips & Tricks section of the forums, the Stickies there have lots of answers, not to mention your question has been asked many times before. :)
