![]() I HAD LimewirePro even though it was getting to be like 2 years old. I paid for that and have all the emails confirming it. Today I checked out the latest Basic program but did NOT expect it to install and replace my original Pro limewire but it did that. I have done every possible search to contact Limewire to ask for my old program back but there is not one address given to contact them. They have total non contact which I think is rude and arrogant. There is a "Support" section where you have to enter your email address you had when you bought Pro and when I enter that it refuses to recognise that as my contact. I can prove it but can't contact anyone to do that. It just shuts you off from contact and support. A disgrace. Can someone give me an email address that will allow me to contact Limewire directly? Thank you. My email should work here to reply to me if you want to. |

![]() Sorry, but in this case you're out of luck. 2 years ago, buying Pro entitled you to free updates & email support for 6 months. So you would've been able to download Pro for free, for 6 months after your purchase. There's a 12 month option now, but that definitely wasn't available 2 years ago. Whatever versions of LW you download while your Pro privileges are current are yours to use for as long as you like. But it's up to the user to save & back up Pro installers ![]() Once your Pro privileges have expired, your email address won't be in LW's database anymore - that's why your email address isn't being recognised. Did you buy Pro from the official site Lime Wire » Download LimeWire ? Some sites offer 'unlimited' or 'lifetime' deals, but they're just scams. |

![]() Thank you, everyone who is clarifying this. "birdy" I did buy the original direct from Limewire itself, not a scam place and I knew at the time it was only a 6 month upgrade. It arrived to me through email, and I always keep installers. I would have to check. You say I would have received one? I will look at the folder where I keep installers. Thank you all. |

![]() After you bought Pro, you would have got an email from LW with a link to your Pro personal download page... once you clicked on the link, you would've been been sent to a page where you could download a Pro installer. The installer itself wasn't sent via email - just the link to your download page. That's because there might be several new versions released during the 6 months, so LW just send you the link to a download page & then you can download whatever updates you choose while your privileges are current. But hopefully you still have the installer somewhere & can get your Pro going again ![]() |

![]() Oh BOY!!!! I have had a limewire problem for a few weeks, it was starting connection but it NEVER connects. So I have been on all the forums and doing everything that everyone has said to try which I may add has been very helpful. But I followed the advice of uninstalling java and Limewire and reinstalling it, it tells me my account privileges have expired, would you like to purchase at a discount. Lets just say I am the opposite of happy right now |
