why does any version of limewire

Too many incomplete files, too many shares .. could be either, could also be older java version, or could be old computer struggling to keep up with the newer programs.
Start here: 1. Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link). Too many incompletes can send too many connection attempts through your modem/router & flood it. Depending on model of modem, it may struggle ... especially if it is a wireless one. 2. Reduce both upload & download speeds slightly so some bandwidth is left over for browsing, though browsing doesn't use much bandwidth at all. 3. Go to LW's menu bar, Tools > Options > Advanced > Performance, Disable all options. 4. Go to LW's menu bar, Tools > Options > Speed, disable OOB searching. |
