Notice to update or not... Hi all. I keep getting a notice from LimeWire asking me if I want it to update now or later. How do I stop this annoying notice from popping up every time I boot up my computer? Thank you. |
You can try going tools > options > updates > put a dot in the 'beta releases' button > apply > ok. I really can't remember whether this works or not (sorry), I just ignore the nag;) Which version of LW are you using now? Are you happy with it? Lots of people have been unhappy with the latest version, so if you like the version that you have now I'd suggest you just ignore the nag & stick with what you have;) |

I've done as you've suggested, and hopefully this with stop those pesky notices appearing every time I boot up. My version is LimeWire 4.18.3 Pro. So far okay. At least I'm not getting connectivity problems which kept me from using LimeWire for over a year. Thanks!:xeri_ok1ani: |
Just make sure that you've saved that Pro installer;) Otherwise, if you do decide to update one day, or if someone else uses your computer & updates without you realising, you'll lose that version for good:( |
This is the piece of crap that has no check-box option to turn it off from reappearing each time. Who needs this irritation? I'm uninstalling LW and going back to torrents again. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...diamond/lw.png |
