Sharing 24 files!!? (LW 5 Alpha)

Hello, I'm not new to LimeWire, having used previous version for a few years - great software. But as of v5 Alpha, even though I have pointed LimeWire to all the folders on my PC that contain likely stuff (mp3's up the yinyang, movies galore - some 5000+ files in all) LimeWire reports "Sharing 24 files" in the lower left hand corner. This "irregardless" of how long I stay connected. Makes one feel the reluctant leecher...
Why is that, do you think? I mean that only 24 files are found?

Sounds like a bug. (perhaps I commented about same bug from preferences window, but your additional comment will make a difference.) I agree it can be confusing about 'shares'. Best to respond to this thread here: LimeWire Forums :) I was initially sharing multiple thous' files & the alpha had major problems loading them but that was more a Mac OSX issue.

If not registered there, unfortunately you will need to register there separately since it is a different forum. :)

Have you clicked on 'p2p network' & made sure that your different categories are all ticked for sharing?
Sorry if this doesn't help - but when I started using the Alpha, it took me a while to realise why I wasn't sharing my files (even though my saved folder was selected within options):o

Of course I hadn't ticked them...now I wont be able to add to your rep will I? If so that's too bad and something the developers of LW should change, credit where credit's due, I say. :aweof:

The bug was me :o Birdy put me straight. Now all of a sudden I'm sharing 8106 files. Thanks for your response though!

I agree sinsemilla. I complained at LW.org forums about that option to click the p2p network share option in that it shares 'all' the files. But instead what you need to do is either (a) click each individual file you wish to share within the p2p network window, else, go to Library window & select multiple files (whilst holding down SHIFT key) & right cick & choose share, being careful to select only those you wish to share of course.
