What happened to turbo charged?
 

Hi i'm a long time free limewire, first time limewire pro user. After seeing a couple of years of notifications suggesting to get turbo downloads with pro i finally bought it to find that it's no quicker, if anything slower, than the free version. Whats the go? Am i doing something wrong? Any help please...

Delete your LW preferences folder whilst LW is closed when upgrading to Pro. :) (make a note of your settings first)

If you are a dial up user, you may or may not get turbo charged. ;)

Initially, go to LW's menu bar, Tools > Options > Advanced > Performance & disable all options. Command & comma key for mac. See if that makes a difference. IF not then delete your LW prefs folder.

Anybody's guess why you are not getting turbo charged if you have deleted your prefs folder, but try that first. You may have too many incomplete files that are hampering communication between LW & your router. Also, sometimes Ultrapeer setting can be limiting for turbo charged. So as suggested, disable that at least initially. I find ultrapeer setting sometimes knocks me off turbo charged connection. ;)
