Cannot play dvds
 

:(I am new to Limewire and I have burned a few movies that will play back on my computer but not my home dvd player.I am using the dvd-r Sony disks to burn on, which have played in my home player before when I have borrowed movies from friends.One of the files that I have burned from Limewire was in mpg format, which played on the home player,the other was in avi which didnt play.I have tried to convert the avi, using the any converter software, but it still wont play in the home player.Im at a loss on what to do.Any help would be appreciated.

Which disk burning program are you using & which version?

A mistake many people make is not choosing video-dvd format when they choose to burn to dvd. They accidentally burn a data disk. Also best to burn at minimum speed for video & audio disks. :)

After you burn the disk, does it have TS_Video folder inside?

I use the windows media player.When I tried to burn the dvd again, I added the video-ts to burn with the movie, then it said that the file was too large to fit on the disk.

May I ask, are these TS folders ones you downloaded via torrents or ones that were created after processing a video file you downloaded via gnutella on your computer?

I get the impression perhaps you are trying to burn a 8.5 GB dvd to a 4.7 GB disk. In actual fact they are not the true sizes. 8.5 GB disks fit about 7.6 GB (a little bit more) & 4.7 GB disks fit about 4.37 GB.

I used to use Bearshare so I think they were processed through that.Is there some other software I should download or?The dvd I burned that did play in the home player was the same amout of mb as the one that will not burn.Can I download the bit torrent video-ts somewhere?
