Why PAY FOR PRO?????
 

I love LimeWire. I've paid a few times now for the Pro versions. My firewalls don't block it, my version is current yet whenever I click on my LimeWire desktop icon to open the program and download the advantages for which I've paid every year -and been guaranteed I'd have faster download speeds and ultimate search results- I get only one bar of power.

Why do I pay for a lifetime when you ask me to pay every year and why every year, do I get no more than what I got when the program was free???

Like I said, I love LiveWire. But only when it works. Since I've been paying for the PRO version, I've been pushed to love you less.

Now tonight I click on the option to upgrade and I'm asked again to pay more.

WHY??? Why should I pay you more when you've yet to follow through with your obligation to me and my paid membership that in the past has promised me quality service?

Where the heck is the quality service?

Not trying to be a jerk about it, just really wanting what's fair and what I've paid for these past two years in "lifetime" membership, yet, have nothing in return from LimeWire but aggravation.

Perhaps you might like to see this Known Scam Sites (click on link). The Official LW site does not mention 'Lifetime' membership at all. Nor do they advertise.

I've paid for LIMEWIRE via the LIMEWIRE site and it's upgrades. Not a scam.

Where does it say 'LifeTime'? They have customer support, go to their support page. :)
LW Pro can be purchased in 3 forms; (a) the default 6 months of updates & support, (b) Extended which is 12 months of updates & support. And another (c) which is a single cheaper offer which does not include updates or support. Those things are specified rather clearly on their site. ;)

You only get one bar of power? You have a connection problem I am guessing, right?

Additonally, I'll be very happy to go back the two years and submit the necessary proof from my financial statements where LIMEWIRE was paid in full from my account. We both know however, that these two proofs of purchase do NOT say LIMEWIRE. Just as GNUTELLA does not spell out LIMEWIRE.

Nonetheless, with my upgrades in service for LIMEWIRE PRO, I'm still within a few months of expiration date to my second subscription.

I've had connection issues with LIMEWIRE, granted, and my qualm is every bit my fault as well. I'm merely trying to correct it and garner from LIMEWIRE what I subscribed under and have paid for...twice now.

No, I have no connection issues with any other sites to which I am a paid subscriber. I've tested my bandwidth and I've exhausted several possibilities giving you guys -always- the benefit of the doubt.

I'm a Dork to a point. But I've honestly asked all the questions and tried everything in my quest to garner the very least advantage from LIMEWIRE.

Not talking about using your browser to connect to sites. :) I'm talking about your LW connecting to the gnutella network. The network has nothing whatsoever to do with connecting to sites, you are connecting to other users. ;)

LW Pro connects to 5 ultrapeers instead of Basic's 3, thus should improve in searching for rarer files by reaching a wider audience of file sharers.
LW Pro has the ability to download from up to 10 hosts per file compared to Basic's 8 hosts per file, thus should in theory result in faster downloads. :)

In the past, whenever I made my upgrades and/or renewed my membeships, I did experience faster downloads. However, these have been short lived. Where I never changed my sharing settings or preferences, I have experienced initial quick download speeds with full bars across the board and then within a short period of time, very long download speeds, little downloads to choose from and only one bar.

If I've not changed my Limewire settings but only upgraded and paid for PRO, why would my service be downgraded?

Service? No .. it's the dynamics of using the network. It can vary from day to day or week to week. Same issue if using LW Basic. ;)

Many people have not been happy with the new LW 5, & personally I do believe they released it far too soon. They left out many tools, it was still containing many bugs. You do have the option to downgrade back to LW 4.18 if you wish. ;) If you still have your old installer use that, else get it from the Classic link on left side of your pro download page.

Otherwise, use the advanced search options. These give a few more options for searching. Sharing also helps believe it or not. :) Having people uploading from you helps to spread your searches.
