Preview shuts down limewire

While downloading any movies, ie. AVI, MPG,MP4, etc.. when I click on Preview, it says a problem with limewire has occurred and must shut down(running Windows 7). This only happens with movies, not music files or short videos. Do I need to download a certain amount of the file before I can preview? I'd hate to download a large file only to find it's not what I was looking for. Thanks for any help you can give
