| My trusy old computer decided to self destruct yrsterday, forcing me to buy a new one. Upon downloading Limewire, lo and behold, my entire music collection was missing. Can anybody give an idea on how to regain these precious songs ![]() without spending days redownloading ? |

| I'd suggest on your old computer do a computer search .. search .mp3 and any other music file formats such as .wma, .mp4, .m4a, .ogg, .wav, etc. Then transfer them to the new computer. Also see If you updated LimeWire & cannot find your Downloads. Oh .. and check your normal music folder such as C:\Music or C:\Documents and Settings\User-name\My Documents\My Music Last edited by Lord of the Rings; April 11th, 2010 at 08:35 PM. |

| d00d....sheeshus...the files are obviously on your old machine where you downloaded them to...do you actually think they were magically moved over when you bought a new machine? if the old machine is just dead to the extent that the OS is hosed and acting weird and the HDD is still OK then you should be able to hook the HDD from your old machine into your new one and have access to the files on it...
