When search results come up, the hosts speed is indicated with the results. Is this whatever that user selected in their options? If so, are some people selecting that they have a much faster connection than they actually do? Seems like there are a lot of slow downloads out there from people that supposedly have T1, T3, or cable. I have cable myself. Maybe I'm just picking hosts with many downloads/uploads happening...almost everytime I find a file I'd like to download.

well take a look at the sheer volume of t1 and t3 connections. how many people do you know that have a personal T1 or T3 in their home? Now since 0 was the answer figure that IF they even have a T connection they are on a campus and they are sharing it with thousands of other people. basicly sure they "may" have a T1/3 but they are really only hitting 5-10kbps stream. In other words ppl are morons and they dont know how to do math (i have dsl if i was networked with 10 ppl and we where all downloading we would probibly average about 2-5kbps not 26-50 like i do now) my only advice is to find files that have multiple copies then download any (downloading from 10 users will net you a bigger stream than dling from 1

That is very True of how some fast connections can be slow.
