Limewire will not exit. Bug?

I have just installed Limewire 2.3.1 on Linux.

The application will not exit when closed. It only minimizes. I have the option "Close Immediately" selected so it is not waiting for transfers to complete.

I must kill the process to exit Limewire.

I have not seen any mention of this in the FAQ or within the past few dozen posts.

Bug?

This is a "Feature" of newer LimeWire clients. On windows, it stays in the system tray. Very annoying. I don't know if any of the options will stop this, I am using an older version.

I have the exact same problem on my mac. I have to force quit to get out.

shutdown

in LW goto TOOLS thenOPTIONS then SHUTDOWN then choose what u want LW to to do when u close it
