I did that and it got this message:

We are sorry that bearshare has encountered an error and must close. we are sorry for the inconvenience. It is also saying there is a database error.

uh huh....well I have had success solving that by going to program files\bearshare test\db and then deleting all files with the word 'library' in them....then restarting...if your My Downloads folder is really large it would probably help to empty it and start from scratch (no, don't delete the files...in fact just rename the present folder and make a new My Downloads folder)

the expired beta running ok till now, but I'm not sure with that thing about sabotaged "the bear" This version (the expired beta) its more safe or is just like the rest of BS versions till 5.2 (sorry 4 my english, its not my first language )

I uninstalled the newest version of Bearshare (you know, the crappy one). I still have BearFlix Pro, but it's not a very good program at all.

I downloaded and installed "BSTEST05010b25", but when I try to launch the program a box pops up that says, "Key Expired--This copy of Bearshare is expired."

How do I get the prior version of Bearshare to work? If I can't, are there any other good programs out there comparable to the old versions of Bearshare?

All of this has made me wonder if I should start to use BearShare or not.
I already use LimeWire and Ares but I wanted to try something different.
