Phex doesn't have any adware or whatsoever. It's a clean free good program.
And for the rest, just read through the Phex forum section here and then you will find the answers as well as you can ask the developers of the Phex clients, who are also the Mods in that forum section......

I have a suspicion this person didn't actually try the version of BearShare recommended by AaronWalkhouse. But Phex is a good program too.

If you don't like that either you can try shareaza. I never tried it but I think it's adware free. Or you can download bit torrent.

foolofthehill - Thanks. I went and checked out their site last night, seems all good. But just wanted to check, cause I have been told one thing by a company and they turned around and did another.

garbagefan2 - I tried shareaza awhile ago now. But the last time I used it it wasnt very good, I guess they may have updated since then. I might check them out also. Thanks

Sorry if I appear to have a bit a problem with your attitude; I completely agree with LOTR........you have only mentioned BS lite, but the version that Aaron reckoned (I have installed it by myself), works just as good as the other old BS versions before they sold out their company to the RIAA.....

That's the version mentioned:
Code:

If upgrade dialogs are a bother try
the expired beta 5.1.0b25 and use the BearStart utility to run it.

Besides, LOTR still gave you a qualified comment in regard to your query.
Being respectful to members, VMs, Mods, and Admins in a forum is not an option, it is a requirement.....
Bear this in mind for any further comments of yours......

What about members, VMs, Mods, and Admins all being respectful back, I found that offensive the way he put it, he has no idea what I have done or havent. I didnt intend to be disrespectful. But of course it never matters what my opinion is. I will find some help somewhere else. Good luck to you all

You're welcome.....

Download the BEST Free Version of BearShare!!!

Vinnie just had to test his new weapon, possibly to show

To protect yourself from future episodes of sabotage, I
suggest you switch to versions older than 5.2.anything and
never upgrade again. If upgrade dialogs are a bother try
the expired beta 5.1.0b25 and use the BearStart utility to run it.

This is the best p2p file sharing program i have ever used. Anyone who is a true sharer will also share this information. This version is GREAT!!! Anyne who tries it will immediately understand. Please spread the good news that there is finally a reliable P2P File Sharing Application!!!
