I miss limewireOther.zip in your download section. The download formats which you offer are useless for me. I cannot unpack them in eCS. Don't you have a simple jar-file instead of this platform specific garbage?

Agreed.

If my platform isn't up to the latest Java standards, then shoot me. Please draw the gun and give me a chance to shoot back. I ask that you provide your product in a generic release (with generic instructions), in hopes that my platform will be able to run it.

Otherwise, Java's usefulness is limited.
