![]() Hello all. LimeWire is not an Ubuntu supported program, so the installation is sometimes a little tricky, for newbie users such as myself. I currently have the version 4.12(not pro) on my Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty system. I want to know if I have to un-install the earlier version in order to install the new one, or just go ahead and install it, and it'll take care of itself? Thanx! |

![]() Hi sonhadorpr, There aren't many Linux users around on the forum. You might be better off asking your question over at this other forum. LimeWire Forums - Powered by vBulletin Windows users can simply install a version of LW & it'll automatically remove the previous version but I can't find info about Linux, sorry ![]() |

![]() I'll do that.....thanx for the info... I think that it should do it automatically.. but I had/still have a problem with the Real Player 10....it gave me many errors, and didn't play all the types of files I needed it to play, so I uninstalled it, but the link is still there in my menu, and it won't come off... so...things on linux work diff´rent than in Windbugs.. Take care ROM |
