Qtella behind a Firewall

Hello,

i've got a qtella runing behind a firewall, which doesn't have the 6348 port open. can i configure qtella in any way to work around this little problem (without opening ports on the firewall!im not allowed to...)?

Are the ports closed for outgoing or incoming connections? Are the Gnutella ports the only ones being closed?

hi! i have the same problem. By using qtella, i can download but it seems that nobody can upload.
I use a linux Mandrake 8.2, and i think i'm using Bastille firewall (but when i type ps -ax in the shell, i have no such line).

you will get uploads but people have to use push to get to you so you will get less uploads than if you opens the port.
why so are you so worried of opening 6436?
Close everything you don't use like http server, ssh and then you don't need a firewall.

I'm sitting behind a firewall, and I can't change that. most ports are closted, only http, ftp, ntp and ports like those are opened. (why i can't open gnutella ports?i'm at work!and i'm not a systems administrator.)all i want is download mp3s. is there a possibility?
