Why Do You Not Register?

I am amazed at the number of people participating here in the forums who are Unregistered.

What are your reasons for not registering? You're still "anonymous" even if you're registered, so what's the problem?

In Bearshare there is some debate about stopping all Unregistered users from posting in the public forums- Maybe that should be considered here as well?

Just curious, but it sure does make it difficult to respond to someone if you always have to make it "re: Unregistered's comments..."

You lose more than you can possibly gain by remaining unregistered.

What's up...???

Here is no you-must-register, that is cool and easy.

Yes,

support for all people...

On bearshare.de we have some forums that are only allowed for registered people (developer area or technical area!) but we have free support areas... anything like this I miss on bearshare.net!

So this here is a free forum... you must not register if you don´t want and this is good so!

Our own RIGHT !!!

Hello there to U all.

If he doen't want to be known "resgistered", it's his right.

I don't agree, but.

We MUST respect that.

Registered or Unregistered?

Hi Morgwen,

My post was mostly from curiousity.
I appreciate that, as you call it, this is a "free" forum and net, but my point was that the advantages to being registered are greater than the disadvantages: It's a lot easier to communicate on some subject in the future if you have a "tag" of some kind to go with the poster! Plus messaging!

And, without going too deeply into the business reality of all of this, it's also a lot better for LimeWire to be able to show registered participants instead of only "hits".

My thoughts were not in any way aimed towards somehow reducing "freedom" here, and the one fact remains--- No matter what you do you remain anonymous!

Anyway, just asking!

Now I'll get out of here and run back to LimeWire 1.7c !!! ;)

Cheers Morgwen and cu later

It is good for those who just have a doubt and will only post once or twice here. Sometimes registering can be a waste of time. In many cases you may forgot your password and therefore you will have to register again.

I personally would like to see more people, who don’t want to register, do what “starbuck” and “Notregistered” did above. (You don’t have to register to use a guest name. Just replace “Unregistered” with another name when you post.)
