If you'd like to, you can send a screenshot to support@shareaza.com and I'll check it out.

Cheers

Yes it will probably take a while before these new links start to work well.. not enough people have Shareaza 1.2 yet for it to be widely available on the Gnutella network.

Hopefully we will start to see magnet: and/or gnutella: URLs appearing everywhere!

OK, you 'guilted me' there good and proper because I did not do a test in TABBED mode.... but, sorry gang... I just did and all is fine.... Sounds like an IE problem, believe it or not.....

Please, go to the address below and run through the FULL tests..... It's an on-line IE test.... (be sure to pack some water and food and a blanket because you are going to be there a while... quite a while....)
Have nothing running in the background - close all applications - no internet activities allowed during the tests.......
Yes, these are deep sorts of tests, and they DO take some time to complete, but you will learn a great deal about your setup and, if... IF you actually pass all of the tests, than you can say with fairly high assurance levels, "It ain't me, guys. Your client has a problem!"
That in itself is worth the time and attention required to do the tests. ;)
If you do try this, please return and let us know what you discovered and what you think, OK?

btw, if you are NOT running Netscape, don't panic about any non-functional tests..... in fact, when possible, do not do the Netscape tests if you are not running Netscape. Obvious, I guess :o

The problem is the xml search window that appears when you select a search type other than plain text appears on top of all the other controls. Take a look at this (Size messages for the search dialog):

<00001> 001501E4 S .....WM_SIZE fwSizeType:SIZE_RESTORED nWidth:357 nHeight:101
<00002> 001501E4 R .....WM_SIZE
<00003> 00110224 S .....WM_SIZE fwSizeType:SIZE_RESTORED nWidth:334 nHeight:16
<00004> 00110224 R .....WM_SIZE
<00005> 00120194 S .....WM_SIZE fwSizeType:SIZE_RESTORED nWidth:320 nHeight:193
<00006> 00120194 S .....WM_SIZE fwSizeType:SIZE_RESTORED nWidth:336 nHeight:193
<00007> 00120194 R .....WM_SIZE
<00008> 00120194 R .....WM_SIZE
<00009> 0016018E S .....WM_SIZE fwSizeType:SIZE_RESTORED nWidth:338 nHeight:24
<00010> 0016018E R .....WM_SIZE
<00011> 0016018E S .....WM_SIZE fwSizeType:SIZE_RESTORED nWidth:338 nHeight:24
<00012> 0016018E R .....WM_SIZE
<00013> 000D0196 S .....WM_SIZE fwSizeType:SIZE_RESTORED nWidth:75 nHeight:23
<00014> 000D0196 R .....WM_SIZE
<00015> 000E01B8 S .....WM_SIZE fwSizeType:SIZE_RESTORED nWidth:75 nHeight:23
<00016> 000E01B8 R .....WM_SIZE
<00017> 000A0250 S .....WM_SIZE fwSizeType:SIZE_RESTORED nWidth:9549 nHeight:64069
<00018> 000A0250 S .....WM_SIZE fwSizeType:SIZE_RESTORED nWidth:9565 nHeight:64069

<00019> 000A0250 R .....WM_SIZE
<00020> 000A0250 R .....WM_SIZE

The way I have duplicated this error is to select plain text search,
size the window to the smallest allowed, type something to search for and press search. Open it up again and it *should* have this problem.

What does IE have to do with it?
BTW the search is the same window in tabbed and windowed mode, they are not two different dialogs. I tried both and neither work.

Mike,
Could you build in the report GWebcache function?
I dont know exactly how the reporting works in Gnucleus but I guess Gnucleus just submits the hostcache url to the
main hostcaches with url=http://blablabla

Would be great!
