First of all, this is the Shareaza forum, not the LW.......
If you tied to uninstall LW using the Control panel>Remove Program option you will need to reinstall LW and then use the START>Programs>Limewire>Uninstall option. If your system doesn't allow you to reinstall LW then you'll need to uninstall the rest of the program using the CCleaner:

You actually do not have to disable the firewall, you should rarther configure it to allow your P2P client access to the network.
