Can't Uninstall Shareaza

Can't uninstall Shareaza through control panel.

Getting message: File "C:Program Files\Shareaza\Uninstall\unins000.dat" does not exist. Cannot uninstall.

Any help offered?

Try repair option in the add/remove control panel & then try uninstalling. Another option is to reinstall & uninstall.

sorry? Don't see Repair in Add/Remove. Any chance you could guide me more.

Otherwise, will try second option.

Thanks

Go to Control Panel then Add/Remove Programs & click on Shareaza on the Change/Remove button & it comes up with options and one of them is Repair.

Excuse the program but the image shows how.

Thanks but still not getting the Repair option. When I click on Remove I am getting my original message come up.
Will have to go for second option.

What happens when you use the 'Remove' option of the Control panel? ShareAza must be closed when you try this.
If ShareAza was open at all, try rebooting & then removing.

Control-alt-del & open process manager & look for shareaza & force it to quit. Then uninstall. Either (1) you have Shareaza set to start at system startup or else, (2) you have a virus that's been going around that gets into the startup items & makes the program start up at system start up & keep opening after closing. If that's the case (point 2), best answer is to visit & register at this site: NorbiesWorld (click on link) & follow the instructions carefully with posting a report. Norbie "is" an expert & will help you clean your machine.
