Shareaza - cannot connect to G2

Hi everyone!

I am brand new in using Shareaza and I hope anyone can help me with my connection problem.
Computer is XP service pack 3
Shareaza 2.5.4.0
Internet by DSL cable modem
Connection by home network on a TP-Link wireless router TL-W642G
Connection test - OK (port 6346 forwarded)

Gnutella1 and Edonkey connect, but Gnutella2 does not (connecting... forever!)
The thing is that it works fine when I used my machine in another homework network. So, I concluded that it must be something with the router configuration...
I appreciate any help or clue.

Thanks a lot.

Wish I could say I'm here to help HELB, but I'm having the same problem at the time.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Cable Modem, Hard line in.
Port: 6346
Shareaza 2.5.4.0
Enabled through Windows firewall
Running AVG free which has no firewall to my knowledge.
Connection test says something about a stealth firewall or a router not being configured. I don't have any other Virus or Firewall programs than whats mentioned.

Shareaza connects to Gnutella1 and eDonkey but not Gnutella2. Odd thing is I wasn't having this problem yesterday when I downloaded Shareaza. Today however Gnutella2 just doesn't seem to wanna cooperate. It remains in a constant state of 'Connecting.'

Any help is appreciated.

Kyuuen,

I believe my problem has been solved. I "queried now" all services (F9) for each blue icon (G2 services). Hope it work for you too.

Both of you seem to suffer from a bug that has been introduced with version 2.5.4.0 that makes G2 connection difficult for some users as their Host Cache contains Hubs with online dates that lay in the future. It will be fixed in the next stable release (which will come out for that reason soon) and if you do not want to wait, just use the current debug builds, which already contain the fix. You can find them here: Shareaza - Debug Builds
