Once you've logged in, when browsing the forum it keeps asking you to log in again. Also All the emojis when posting this are written out instead of pictures. And once the connection message on my browser said "Gateway Closed" on Gnutella"s end.

We apologise sleepybear91. Although some emailing systems have been fixed, in order to achieve it, some redundant 3rd party support software was removed and vBulletin update appear to have had universal side-effects across the forum. You are not the only member having these issues. We are trying to sort out these problems.
"Gateway Closed" or "Gateway time-out" Error code 504 are due to server time-outs AFAIK. Like us, the hardware is not getting any younger. ![]() Still have major issues to sort out so you will need to be patient with us. Again we apologise for the confusing and headache kind of forum behaviour you see at times. |

Hi sleepybear, I've been trying to reply to your post for days but every time I clicked on the 'reply' button I got logged out
![]() Now that LOTR has replied, seems to have cleared the blockage ![]() Sometimes the smilies appear like normal, other times they're just text. But even if they show as just text in the reply page, they show in the reply as emojis once the reply's submitted. |

There were some important fixes done. But you will not noticed them unless you clear your cache for gnutella
In Firefox settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Manage Data … There is a search box at top, simply type in gnutella and choose Remove Selected (after you select them.) For Chrome it appears you cannot do it per site (perhaps I simply can't find the option.) But it does allow you to remove cookies from a previous period. Either 24 hrs or 7 days. The latter might be best. The fix seemed to work for Chrome. |

We can also confirm that there are major issues with using Microsoft Edge on these forums at present. Some functions simply won't function properly including unable to post. (For some people using Windows 11, MS Edge works fine on these forums without issue. Win 10 may have problems.)
If possible, we recommend using a different web browser when attending the Gnutella Forums. Firefox or Chrome and hopefully other types of browser will function ok. If you are having issues staying logged in I recommend: 1. Clearing browser cache. 2. When logging in, check the option for Keep logged in. Some of the forum security has been increased and it will help greatly if you are able to keep your web browser updated. This may be somewhat difficult if you are using an older computer operating system. (There are sometimes community based updated browsers for some older operating systems such as macos. Examples for macos: FireFox Dynasty (macos 10.7 to 10.11) and TenFourFox (macos 10.5 and earlier.)) |
