This type of thing has been suggested before. I'd like to suggest that the stickies are colour coded so people notice them. And that the rules thread has its own separate colour. Adding colour should not be very difficult at all.

I remember somebody suggsting the concept of the rules showing up as soon as somebody presses the forum option under Help in LW. This could be incorporated in LW itself.

On another forum I visit, it is compulsory to enter your computer details when signing up for membership (in fact on that forum you must be a member before you can post or post a new thread.)

These details would help all those who help out on the forum w/o having to ask for them before any help can be offered. And obviously the need for people to be aware of the rules such as re: language & discussing copyright material. I'd like to hear some feedback as to whether any of these ideas will be considered & what reasoning if any they're rejected.

It's really short notice to ask for such an issue to be fixed so quickly. Besides, connections is definitely not my strong point. I'd suggst u try asking chicagojohn. He is very good with connections. Sorry about that. By the way, in your other post it sounds as though you don't have the proper version of LW anyway. You might want to cancel your transaction to save yourself from being tricked. See the link I gave in the other thread. U might be having connection probs because your LW version is suspect. Double-check 1st before you do anything.

Excellent idea. However, computer info can change. When a person post, they should always indicate their system info & which version of LW they are using in order to receive the PROPER solutions to their problem(s).

I'm confused about something

I posted a question on the mac section about how to have a folder appear elsewhere other than in my preferences folder. As I always do I left my signature for my website. Why was it deleted, it's not an ad for a money making website?

****

Thanks for your answers,

It has nothing to do with p2p. It doesn´t matter if this is a money making site or not, advertising is advertising. You can register here and add the link as your homepage, this is the only allowed way to promote your site here.
