picture in signature?

Trying to include a picture of mine into my signature, I'm asked to "Please enter the URL of your image"! Is there not an easier way - like click & drop - to do this, as I have no idea on how to find the URL for my picture

Signature or avatar. AFAIK signatures cannot be uploaded from computer like an avatar can. (I'll need to double-check upon that.) What you can do is host the file at a free hosting site. Google for free hosting sites. There's many. ;) :) (oh but there is one that we don't allow on this site because it was popularly used by trolls/spammers.)

Also click on the FAQ button above as it does give some information on how to's of signatures. We allow signatures as long as they are not offensive or too large or against the Forum Rules. We don't allow advertisements to commercial sites.)

There is also an option to use a picture that is on your computer.

Download or save a picture onto your hard drive, then browse for the file location in LW User CP.

Good Luck :tease:

vBulletin version 3.6.1 has the option of uploading a signature from your computer so maybe this version does as well but it's just not activated.

vB 3.6.1 does have some improvements. That's not the only one I've heard of (or read about.) Problem is, we have experienced some problems with updates of vB in the past so unless there's dramatic improvements in vB, then it might not be worth the risk unless especially needed. Actually I have already rather recently 'hinted' to the forum owner about an update. lol :D

Nice improvement anyway if that's the case. If so I might add something also if we get an update for vB. :D
I was also originally disappointed about not being able to upload images for sigs from your computer.

Well the forum that uses 3.6.1 did have a lot of problems to sort out at first when they updated but everything is working good now.

It's quite nice to upload from your computer because I'm quite fond of using a certain image hosting site that's banned here so it would be much easier to just upload them from your computer instead of using a hosting site.:fish:

In the meantime if you need some other free hosting sites let us know.

Actually, I'm using filelodge.com right now. The best thing about it is that it has unlimited bandwidth but if I need another one I'll let you know.:xeri_ok1ani:
