Why are users banned?
I see some posters have banned beneath their names, it would be useful to add an explanation why (trolling etc). I ask because a helpful and polite contributor is banned, and I wonder why it was (it happened ages ago, but I'm not here often).

users are banned for many reasons....
those that 'seem' to be polite, etc, and are 'veterans', are voted upon....others are banned by individuals because of obvious reasons...

I was banned once also. Or at least once. At the time I was really pissed about it, but looking back it was entirely the right thing to do. It wasn't for long. Only like three days or something.

yep....individuals...as a fact I am not the highest on the ban meter...I think I'm #3...though honestly I am probably the highest on the counter of having banned trolls...
most bans are spammers, which I do have my share of..
