XP User Switching erroe Hi, I am successfully running Xolox 1.32 on Win XP Pro. However, when I use Win XP User switching (or if I simply log off, keeping the connection alive and then log back on), when I log back on to the original user, Xolox has crashed and wants to know if I would like to restart and send a bug report to XOlox (which I do) Is this a know problem? Any ideas? |
It's not Fast User Switching that's causing the crash. Fast User Switching is off on my WinXP Pro box because I login to a domain controller (Win2K). This happens *EVERY* time I lock the system or the screensaver kicks in & locks. This has been happening at least as far back as Xolox 1.2x, although I can't recall the exact version on which it started happening. I've completely uninstalled & reinstalled with no difference. The "XoloX problem report" reads as follows: "XoloX has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Your searches will be lost. If you started some downloads recently, they may also be lost. Please tell XoloX about the problem (so I am) We have created an error report that you can send to help us improve XoloX. We will treat this report as confidential and anonymous. Bug report data is shown below. HMODULE: 4194304 Unhandled exception EOSError Exception message:A call to an OS function failed Call stack:" There's never anything in the call stack. |
Yes it is Your problem is your problem, thanks very much. I have no doubt you experience it, but it has nothing whatever to do with my problem. My problem is wholy and entirely and ONLY ever casued when I use Windows XP User Switching. Anyone else had this problem or knows why Xolox don't fix it? Thanks |
