Thumbs down Error Message

I am running Xolox Vs. 1.32 Build 388
HP 7975 computer Pent. 4 2 GHZ
Windows XP Home IE 6.0 Latest updates and patches.
Version 1.32 Build 388 (Xolox)

I keep getting the following message practically every time I run Xolox:

Xolox has encountered a probmem and needs to close.
HMODULE 4194304
unhandled exception EOSError
Exception messaage: A call to an OS function failed.
Call Stack:

Does anyone know why I am getting this error message and if so how can it be corrected.

I have sent 2 e-mails to bugs@xolox.nl but have not gotten a reply.

Sending an email to bugs@xolox.nl will not likely get a reply because of the mass emails recieved to it - it's more used for reporting of bugs ... not 'support'.

But you did the right thing in asking for help here.


Try this....
clear your registry , clear out the resumeinfo.txt , and restart xolox.

Thumbs down XP error

This seems to happen when the user is not in the administrator group. It has been reported but there has been no support.

I did get an answer from Tech Support. They are aware of this problem and cant correct it now. Said would just have to live with it. Will try to correct in next vs. Hopefully the new version 1.4 will have it corrected.

I am in the administrator group (winXP) an I get this message

I also tried the new 1.4 beta version. A few days ago (before I installed XP) ver 1.32 was working (also XP).
