Default Better than most

I get music usually at 100-400k/s, much better than most.. Good protocol if the program uses it right, and xolox definately does

Indeed and the more users begin to use XoloX and Gnutella the better results and speeds will(should) continue to get.

100K/s+ downloads are a very normal thing with XoloX

Default Cable and T1 are very diferent

I [and kaya] both have cable. Most cable services offer a 1mbit+ downstream, although the upstream has some to be desired.

T1 lines are 1.5mbits, but have MUCH more bandwidth. So although a download on a t1 wont exceed 150k/s on a single connection, it can sustain many, many connections at 150k/s. T1's range from $50**** to $150**** a month. Cable services range from $35-$70/month [normal home use].

Cable is the ideal choice for the majority of home users. However, if you were to run a server on cable it would well.. Suck.
