Unistall/Upgrade XoloX and resumeinfo.txt
 

I have been using XoloX 1.18 for about two weeks. I want to
upgrade to version 1.19. The FAQ says that I should uninstall
XoloX and delete the registry key to avoid upgrade problems.

I have received 50% of the files requested. The other
files are either partials (5%) or "searching" (0 bytes, 45%) in the
Download transfers window (resumeinfo.txt).

What happens to resumeinfo.txt when I uninstall XoloX 1.18
in order to upgrade to version 1.19? Will I have to re-search
the "0 bytes" files (45%) that didn't download yet?

When you use the Xolox “uninstall.exe” it removes the “xolox.exe” and it’s “registry key”, but leaves the “resumeinfo.txt” and “Temp Folder” intact. I uninstalled the Xolox 1.18 Beta 3, and installed the Xolox 1.19; and my partial files resumed without any problems. If in doubt, backup Xolox and it’s associated files before you do anything.

No problems with 1.18 -> 1.19 upgrade.

The XoloX uninstaller on Windows 2000 Pro didn't delete
XoloX registry key (for whatever reason...)
I manually deleted it following FAQ instr. Up and running
again, using version 1.20 and files ARE downloading.
No crashes, no freezes, no problems. Thanks!!
